Parade of Ponds 2009

Pacific Outdoor Living's annual Parade of Ponds is a weekend long, self-guided tour of some of California Waterscapes most stunning and magnificent ponds. Each year the money raised from Parade of Ponds is donated to selected non-profit charities throughout the community. The tickets are $20 each. On May 30th and/or 31st, present your receipt at our Design Center (2727 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta, CA 91214) to retrieve your tickets.
Each ticket is good for both the San Gabriel Valley and the Crescenta Valley tours. The San Gabriel Valley tour includes San Marino, Altadena, Pasadena, Bradbury and Arcadia. The Crescenta Valley tour includes La Canada, La Crescenta, Montrose, Glendale, Burbank, Sunland and Tujunga. This year, the proceeds will be donated to Five Acres, AIDS Service Center and American Red Cross of San Gabriel Pomona Valley.

Five Acres is a child and family services agency that strengthens families and prevents child abuse through treatment and education in community-based and residential programs. Originally founded as an orphanage in 1888, today Five Acres offers an array of services including residential care and education, mental health services in homes and schools, foster care and adoptions, and domestic violence prevention. |

The AIDS Service Center provides HIV-related services to individuals and families throughout Los Angeles County. From its simple origins in 1987 in the basement of All Saints Church, Pasadena, to its current leadership position as one of the county's most comprehensive AIDS Service organizations. With a staff of 40 and a volunteer base of over 400, ASC provides housing services, transportation, comprehensive case management, mental health services and advocacy to over 1,200 clients and their families each year. In addition, ASC reaches 7,000 community members annually with HIV prevention and education services. ASC also offers free and anonymous HIV testing. |
