You want the end result to look like it belongs, not like it was just purchased at the local home improvement store and plunked down wherever it would fit.  Experience is the only guarantee for this.&lt;br /&gt;

But...the mental, emotional, and even spiritual benefits of having such a place cannot possibly be overstated.&lt;br /&gt;

I have always thought it was good to have some shade around the pond as too much sunlight can cause algae to proliferate.
